Brigit Frank

Brigit is the adoptive mom of two beautiful children, Samantha and John. Her son has special health care needs and is the main reason for Brigit’s wish to help other families like hers. Prior to joining Family Voices of Wisconsin Brigit completed LEND, a national, interdisciplinary program developed to improve the health of children with disabilities. Brigit has worked as a marketing manager and a media analyst before making the jump to writing and editing


Elizabeth Hecht

Liz has been involved with Family Voices since 1998. She is mom to Jessica and Will, who has cerebral palsy. Liz has a passion for policy issues and has been at the forefront of several efforts to develop programs that meet the needs of Wisconsin families. Liz is on the Family Voices National Policy Committee which informs current and future policy issues for the organization. She is the Chair of the Wisconsin Council for Children with Long Term Support Needs.


Barbara Katz

Barbara Katz is the parent of three adult sons. Her middle son, Ben, has significant cognitive disabilities and has been the inspiration for her work as a parent advocate. Barbara has been with Family Voices of Wisconsin since 2005; prior to that she worked with ABC for Health. Barbara serves on a variety of local and statewide advisory councils. She is grateful to Wisconsin families for sharing their stories with Family Voices of Wisconsin and decision makers throughout the state.


Susan Latton

Susan has led public health initiatives in Wisconsin and nationally for over 25 years. Recently, Susan worked with the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program (CYSHCN) and UW-Waisman Center to strengthen family leadership, medical homes and transition planning. Susan developed the Leading Together Initiative through a CYSHCN Program grant, also focused on family leadership and building cultural competencies. Nationally, she has managed outreach campaigns for PBS, including a series on childhood cancer. Susan is the parent of two young adults, one of whom has a rare genetic condition.

Lynn Renner

Lynn is the parent of two children including a 14 year old son with cerebral palsy. She has been involved with Family Voices since 2009. Lynn has worked in the areas of health and environmental policy and advocacy for many years, including 8 years as a Policy Analyst at the Wisconsin Medical Society. She has also been involved in fundraising and community outreach.
