Opportunities to Serve:

Many organizations that serve youth and adults with special health care needs and/or disabilities welcome youth to join their boards or advisory committees.

Opportunities to Learn:

Wisconsin Youth Leadership Forum – a week long leadership training and career awareness training program held each summer for youth with disabilities.

Youth in Partnership with Parents for Empowerment (YiPPE) – A five-session program for youth with disabilities and their parents to .

Peer Power  – peer-based program designed to support high school students with all types of disabilities to plan for their lives after high school.

Kids As Self Advocates (KASA) – A national grassroots project created by youth with disabilities for youth.

Got Transition – a national project to improve transition from pediatric to adult health care through the use of new and innovative strategies for health professionals and youth and families.
