Advocacy for Change is a full-day advocacy and skills training event for parents, family members, professionals and providers who care for, or work with children with disabilities or special health care needs.

Participants will: Learn about the latest policy priorities, including long-term supports, changes to Medicaid and private insurance, special education, mental health and more! Practice and receive coaching how to tell your family story in ways that can impact changes in programs and policies. Visit with your elected officials at the State Capitol to educate them about issues important to you and your family.

Cost Categories:

  • $0 *- Full scholarship ($125 value) – parents/family members and individuals with disabilities only
  • $50 – partial scholarship – parents/family members/returning participants
  • $125 – professionals/providers/ teachers/community members

*A limited number of scholarships will be available to pay for a hotel room on Wednesday, April 11 and for travel expenses.
